A little not-so-secret about me. I love museums! My heart beats a little faster when I am around art exhibits. Maybe it has to do with being from the DC area and living in a close proximity to the Smithsonian museums.
The art scene in LA is one that I am starting to enjoy might I say. That’s one reason why I love LA; there are so many art galleries that I randomly run across when I am walking around. I have finally gotten around to visiting museums after all my time as a resident in the great state of California.
This past February I had the joy of having jury duty. I choose to use the word “joy" because 1) I didn’t get chosen (Hooray for me!) and 2) I got to spend my hour-long break at the MOCA. Fact is when one is honoring their civic responsibilities with jury duty the MOCA offers free admission. All you have to do is show your juror badge. The nerd is me thinks this is so cool. I took pictures and even made a mini-horror film during my break at the MOCA. Check it out.
